Andrii with heart defects in serious condition

Andrii was born with a congenital heart defect. The doctors diagnosed the baby already on the 5th day of life. At the age of six months, the first operation was performed at the Andryusha in Amosov Institute. Then there was the next one, but after 10 years. In the period between the first and second operations, Andryusha always lagged behind his peers in height and weight, he had cyanosis of the skin, lips, fingers. The boy attended school like ordinary children and easily found schoolmates for himself. Two of the guys became Andrey's real friends for the future. Classmates always, like a guy returning home after a hospital, come to visit him.

And in January of this year, Andrii went through the last 3rd stage of treatment. Doctors performed Fontaine's operation on him. Then the guy was discharged home, everything was fine. “On March 13 we came for an examination, says her mother, everything was within the normal range”.

The favorite subject at school is computer science. The guy has several other hobbies: cars and his internet blog. Andrii has not yet decided on a profession. The guy loves animals, especially cats. “Whenever they get sick, says the mother, he worries about them and asks to be cured.”

At the beginning of September, Andrii was admitted to the department of the Central Clinical Hospital in a planned manner for examination and treatment. The boy's condition at the time of admission was serious. On examination, it turned out that Andrii had been ill with covid-19. The guy complains of increased fatigue, shortness of breath, lack of appetite and swelling in the morning and evening. The treatment was started, it consists of three stages. Now the guy is receiving symptomatic therapy and a course of membrane plasmapheresis. The second stage of treatment is planned to be administered with Octagam immunoglobulin. The drug costs a lot of money. The guy needs to purchase 4fl of the drug Octagam 10% 20ml for the amount of 19 3461 UAH. For his ordinary rural family, this is a lot.

Andrey has a sister Valeria, she is 7 years old and a 6-year-old brother Misha, thet are the pupils of the 2nd and 1st grades. The family lives in a small village. Andrey's father works as a teacher. Now, when the mother and Andryusha are in a hospital in Kiev, dad and grandmother are looking after the younger children.
