Refugees from Sloviansk ask for help

Our project is a story of people who managed to leave Sloviansk to escape from death. All these families are large and each of them takes care of 4-10 kids. One of the girls is 11, she's a cancer. Parents are dependent entirely from welfare payments, they have not received any money since May, 2014. Therefore, these families have been literally left to survive on their own. Houses of some people are destroyed, and they have no place to return. These families don't know the way to live. Only our support can help them cope with their grief. 

Charitable organization "Home of happy children" arranged a refugee camp where these people can have a shelter, food, teacher’s assistance for kids, medical and psychological help. Even though our organization is specialized in helping children who were abandoned from their parents, we couldn't watch the situation in Ukraine without supporting those who suffer. We have committed ourselves to assist refugees, but we won't succeed without your help. We have to raise money to be able to provide necessary support for these people, to pay a rent and the bills for a placement where the refugees are living.

All the people who had to leave their homes to escape from war have their own stories, tragedies and sorrows. Yet, there is one common thing about all of them. The families can't help asking why it's them who have to bear this misery. They keep asking: "Why our kids who cry, why our homes have been bombed and destroyed and we have lost everything earned by hard work for many years…". When things like that happen, life seems to be unfair. Though, it's not true, and we can prove it if we don't leave people who suffer. Even though there may be no sense in such tragedies, we are sure that this grief will teach us to be more compassionate and help those who are in need.

The amount of money to be raised includes:

1) Rent payment – 3 357.82 UAH

2) Water delivery – 248.55 UAH

3) Electricity – 2,764.09 UAH

4) Garbage removal – 122.40 UAH

Total for 1 month – 6 592.86 UAH

Total for 3 months – 19 778.58 UAH
