If you are special from birth

15-year-old Bohdan has been a special child since he was a baby. His mother has been treating her son since he was born. The boy had a difficult birth. Hypoxia during childbirth made itself felt from an early age – Bohdan had hyperactivity and speech delays.

He had to undergo a very difficult treatment, many hospitals, doctors of different specialties and constant counseling and treatment by speech therapists, psychologists and rehabilitation specialists. Over time, all this gave positive results. But, unfortunately, in 2022, the family faced a real disaster. In addition to the war, occupation and damaged housing, an incurable disease came to their home, which is impossible to get rid of over time. Bohdan was immediately and unexpectedly diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and since then, insulin and a glucose sensor have been in his life forever.

Recently, Bohdan spent three weeks in the hospital. Unfortunately, a routine check-up and rehabilitation revealed new problems. The guy underwent surgery. The surgery went well, and Bohdan is now undergoing rehabilitation. Bohdan's family is going through a very difficult time. He lives in the village with his mother and three-year-old brother.

Bohdan's mother sincerely believes that the time will come when her son will confidently step forward in his life, learn to live with this diagnosis, and his life will be incredible and full of bright moments. But now he needs help with glucose monitoring sensors.
