Doctors and patients ask for help

There are only 2 oxygen devices for 78 patients with severe pneumonia. This is the treatment in the district hospital near Mariupol town. People, who can no longer cope at home and need more than the advice of a family doctor on the phone, come to the hospital. And the hospital has very little to offer them. Doctors are asking for help in purchasing oxygen devices so that more patients can breathe during the most difficult period until the disease subsides.

 The Central District Hospital of Nikol'sky District has both an adult suite and children's ward. It serves the 8,000 population of the district center and 32 surrounding villages. If earlier it was still possible to cope with the number of the patients, with the pandemic, the number of patients requiring hospitalization exceeded all possibilities. After all, all other diseases have not gone anywhere. And patients with coronavirus joined the others. At the same time, the hospital is not classified as the one for the patients with coronavirus, so it can’t be provided with all necessary from that target budget.

It is difficult to buy oxygen devices in Ukraine today. Purchase orders should be issued in advance, dates and prices change daily. For the fund’s part, it does everything to find the best conditions for each purchase, but we need funds for this.
