Necessary things for teenagers in difficulty

"Where can I get funds for a shoes, warm jacket or a sports uniform? Why should I buy new bed linen or a blanket? How can I save money to buy a towel or detergent?", students of the Khmelnytskyi professional lyceum of the service sector are trying to find answers to such questions.

These are teenagers from crisis, large, low-income and single-parent families, whose parents or guardians cannot provide their children with the most necessary things. Especially now, during the war, when many of them lost the meager earnings that they had in peacetime. Many of these children and teenagers have lost their relatives due to the hostilities that have been going on for more than a day on the territory of Ukraine, they are left on their own and cope with their lives on their own.These children just want to learn and master their future profession, but because of poverty, they survive on a meager scholarship, for which you can buy only food for a few weeks, not to mention the essentials. 

Just imagine: these students are 14-15 years old, they have moved to study in a foreign city, live in astudent dorm, receive a minimum scholarship and take care of themselves, because often the parents of such children live in poverty, lead an unhealthy lifestyle, some have a physical or mental disability, and some have a disability. They cannot yet work to provide themselves with basic necessities. But these teenagers are wonderful – they are sincere, kind, hardworking, often gifted and capable, with a great desire to learn, become independent and realize themselves in life. 

Fortunately, they were not abandoned and the teachers and educators of the lyceum and we, employees and volunteers of the foundation, continue to worry about their condition and well-being. Our organization has been helping students of this educational institution for several years, we know their life situations, problems and needs well. And now we are starting to raise funds to purchase basic household items for teenagers from the poorest families – towels, bed linen, blankets – warm and sports clothes and shoes, and so on. For them it is a luxury, for us it is a small donation, but so important for these children deprived of fate. 

Let's help children who are so eager to learn and get a profession, despite poverty and misery. We believe that together we can help, and everything will be fine with them!
