Shelter and help for the weakest

The Center for Social and Preventive Assistance, which has been operating under our foundation for many years, is almost the only place in the region where those in need can turn to and receive effective help and support at any time. Among them are often women with young children who have experienced domestic violence and find themselves in such an extremely difficult situation, when with a child in his arms, often without money and basic necessities simply have nowhere to go, because they are forced to flee from a domestic tyrant. seeking shelter and security.

Most often, such wards of the Center have to suddenly leave their home and together with a child or two, seizing only documents and, at best, some small funds and some children's things, literally run away from home, where their lives and the lives and health of children are a direct threat from a man who constantly shows all kinds of violence, children suffer from beatings, live in fear and constant tension. Often these families live below the poverty line, to survive, because the head of the family spends all the money on their addictions or does not give money to support children.

We can talk a lot about the horrors and dangers in such families, which our employees and volunteers face almost every day, receiving and providing assistance to such victims. The Center tries to create all the necessary conditions for social, physical and psychological assistance to affected women with children, so that they feel safe, can rehabilitate after all they have experienced and learn to live independently in the future.

Today in the Center we are faced with the need to arrange for such wards an additional room (several rooms) adapted for living with children, which is in dire need of repair, because it was not used before and is in a state of disrepair. We also plan to equip at the Center at least a minimal playground with a hard surface for children to play outdoors. We do not have enough funds for this in the amount of UAH 30,000, as the fund is a non-profit organization and exists only for donations and we are forced to seek help for such needs.
