Dear donators! The family of Tina Shpatakovska has to ask for your help again. The girl was born prematurely with complications caused by hypoxia and the time she could spent near her mother’s heart was given to struggle for her life. The baby weighed 1.1 kg. only and was so weak that she could not eat, she was fed only through the enteral feeding tube. The long 2.5 months after the birth the girl spent at the pathology unit of Odesa regional children’s clinical hospital where she received intensive medical care.

Everything started to work out for the best, she gained weight, developed according to her age, but the vaccination complication took place and the life of the family changed. Tina was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and spastic tetraparesis. The child started to lose the acquired skills, did not hold her head anymore, suffered from tension in the muscles. Doctors did not give the reassuring prognosis. However, the hearts of the parents did not accept that and started the struggle for the daughter’s health and future with faith and persistence.

Long years of pain and weary daily exercises. Tina has already sustained 16 courses of intensive neurophysiological rehabilitation at “Koziavkin international rehabilitation clinic” LLC, 15 courses at “Budushchee” rehabilitation center, 1 course at “Khadzhybei’ sanatorium, 2 courses at “Tomatis-Kiev” Specialized Center. In 2017 the child had Ulzibat method surgery (dissection of scars in the muscles). The father performs daily exercises with his daughter according to the method of reflex locomotion, Bobath concept, and does rehabilitation exercises. Tina has massage sessions and works with a speech therapist.

For this time Tina grew up and understands the use of the treatment and rehabilitation courses. She bravely bears her state, does her best and works hard on her health, she really wants to walk! The last course of “Koziavkin International Rehabilitation Clinic” produced good results. The rehabilitation led to the improvement of the girl’s walking with support. She started to step with her right leg more confidently. Fine motor skills improved, which finds its reflection in her paintings, she got to like art, especially painting and is always impatiently waiting for the next lesson. Although, it rather hard for Tina to keep the achieved physical skills due to the rapid growth of the child. However, the girl does not give up, she is very laborious and purposeful, she is a fighter! Every 3-4 months Tina needs to sustain rehabilitation at the clinic to maintain and improve results. Her parents really want their child to be healthy. They want to watch her walking independently, walking with her brother, playing with other kids at the playing ground, studying at school.

Another course of the rehabilitation treatment for Tina is scheduled for November 2020 at Koziavkin clinic, its cost is 16,805.00 UAH. Due to the constant financial issues, the parents have to ask for your help again and kindly ask all caring people to help their dream to set the child on her legs come true.
