Sabina Musina dedicated her birthday for saving children
On 28 April, Sabina Musina, an ambassador of the dobro.ua platform and an influencer, celebrated her birthday, which she dedicated for the third time to helping children with congenital heart disease. During the celebration, she raised UAH 1,437,000.
This is Anna. The girl is only 12 years old. Her heart has recently been saved thanks to Sabina Musina's fundraising.
The family found out that the girl had a heart defect a year ago. The girl was under the supervision of a cardiologist, and there was a chance that she would not need surgery. At the end of February 2023, the girl's own father, Rostyslav, died in the war. Since then, Hanna's health has deteriorated sharply. The girl became frail, tired very quickly, constantly has frequent and prolonged shortness of breath, waking up at night from heavy breathing.
Anna was sent to the Amosov Institute for additional examination. The doctors confirmed the diagnosis of an open arterial duct and advised her to undergo heart surgery as soon as possible.
The family has three children. The mother is on maternity leave to care for the youngest child. Her income does not allow her to raise the required amount, so she turned to us for help. Thanks to Sabina's fundraising, the implant was quickly purchased, and the doctors performed the surgery professionally. Now the family's life will definitely have a bright spot.
‘When I started this collection, I could not even imagine that someday it would have almost UAH 8,000,000 and 20,000 donations from you, my hearts' rescuers! A small project has turned into a large community of people who believe that life is priceless. And if we can save that life just by buying a heart implant, how can we refuse it? And now just try to imagine it! In different regions of the country, from Uzhhorod to Zaporizhzhia, 75 children whose hearts were saved by you and me are now running, enjoying life and growing up! These are 75 Ukrainians who are growing up here in Ukraine. They are our future. And I am happy that we have been doing such an important thing together for so long,’ says the influencer.
The total amount raised over two years has exceeded UAH 8,000,000, which has already helped save 75 children's lives.
