Eva's little heart needs help

Eva is a smiling girl from Vinnytsia region. Her parents want their daughter to grow up healthy and happy.
During the first year of her life, Eva had no suspicions of heart problems - during routine examinations, doctors did not find any abnormalities. Only two months ago, during the next vaccination, the pediatrician noticed a heart murmur and recommended an ultrasound.
The examination showed that the child had a heart defect - an open oval window measuring 7.6 mm.
A second examination by cardiac surgeons from Kyiv during an on-site consultation in Vinnytsia confirmed the diagnosis. The doctors recommended not to delay the endovascular intervention in order to close the defect in time and avoid complications in the future.
For the family, the cost of the occluder Eva needs is unaffordable. The family is unable to pay for the surgery on their own, so they turned to us for help.
On June 17, 2025, Eva Smykal, born in 2024, from Vinnytsia region, underwent successful endovascular surgery to eliminate a congenital heart defect.
The funds for the occluder worth UAH 140,598 were raised thanks to the benefactors of the Saving Little Hearts with REJURAN campaign.
We are sincerely grateful to everyone who contributed to Eva's rescue!
