Good afternoon dear friends! We are glad to inform you that starting in the summer of 2021, the Hope and Believe Foundation is launching a new assistance program. The new program will be aimed at helping patients with epilepsy. This topic does not appear as often in the news and news of charities due to its nature. The main treatment is provided by the state free of charge or with substantial discounts on the payment for medicines, and it seems that there should be no problem with paying for treatment. However, in Ukraine, as we are accustomed to, nothing works as expected. Treatment of epilepsy is too difficult and requires careful selection of medicines and therapy for each patient individually. The range of drugs is very large and many of them are not sold in Ukraine. And it is not always possible to replace them. Parents are looking for ways to purchase these medicines as they can, sometimes significantly overpaying their cost. We have just begun to study the problems and are trying to help those people who really require support.
One of these patients is Alina Bogdan from Zaporozhye. Alina is incapacitated and her mother takes care of her. They live together and require our support.
