Our daughter was born on October 19, 2025 at 12:59.
On this special occasion, I would like to raise money for a maternity ward in the Kherson region in southeastern Ukraine and to help newborns. Fortunately, medical care in Ukraine is generally free for all citizens. However, the country has a very limited budget and cannot afford a lot of modern equipment. When special treatment is needed, for example for premature babies, free services are not always available. Many families are forced to spend their last penny in private clinics, where many people earn less than 500 euros per month (including my own family). Help from private foundations can be a huge relief when a public hospital cannot afford important new purchases. This way, more people have access to better medical care.
I have opened a donation box where you can congratulate our little Lina. When she grows up, I will tell her that she has already done something good for the world on her birthday.
ABOUT THE PROJECT:
The neonatal intensive care unit is crucial for the treatment of premature and sick newborns, who often suffer from jaundice. Phototherapy is a safe and painless method of neutralizing dangerous bilirubin and preventing blood transfusions.
The perinatal center of the Khmelnytskyi Regional Hospital urgently needs two or three modern phototherapy lamps. Approximately 350 newborns are treated there every year, most of whom suffer from jaundice. With your help, these babies can grow up healthy and without long-term complications.
