Since childhood, Sofia has been very sick and spends a lot of time in hospital. But the family found out that the girl had an open arterial duct a month ago during a hospital examination. Sofia needed an urgent operation. The girl is very weak, so she needed endovascular surgery.
The family was unable to raise the money to buy an occluder for the operation on their own. Her mother is on maternity leave, and Sophia has a younger brother, who is 4 years old. In addition, her mother had surgery last July and spent a lot of money on rehabilitation. Her father takes on any job to support the family. But there is enough money for the most necessary things.
Thanks to the benefactors who supported the campaign of Elvira Hasanova and Evgenia Tkachenko, on 15 February 2023, Sofia Nevmerzhitskaya underwent a heart implant surgery costing UAH 41,000. The help was invaluable for the family and will allow Sofia to have a better quality of life!
