Support for Boboshko Adelia, born in 2020

Adelia was born in the city of Cherkasy. When the girl was 8 months old, the paediatrician heard a heart murmur and referred her for a heart ultrasound. During the examination, the girl was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect, an open arterial duct. After an additional consultation with doctors at the Amosov National Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery, the diagnosis was confirmed - an open arterial duct of 2 mm. The doctors advised to wait with the operation, as all other heart parameters were normal.  

The girl grew up cheerful, never complaining of discomfort or pain, so her parents hoped that the duct would close without surgery.  

In December 2023, Adelia was examined at the Amosov Institute. Unfortunately, no miracle happened, the diagnosis remained unchanged. Doctors advised to close the duct to avoid complications in the future. 

The girl's parents are unable to pay for the cost of the IUD to save their daughter's heart. The mother is on maternity leave to care for the child, and the girl does not go to kindergarten yet. The father works as a builder. The family has enough money only for living expenses.  

Thanks to the benefactors who supported the campaign of Elvira Hasanova and Evgenia Tkachenko, on 10 January 2023, Adelia underwent endovascular surgery to install a heart implant, which cost UAH 41,000.
