Help for Matviy Buzyl, born in 2020

Matviy was born in Chernivtsi. His mother's labour was difficult and in the first minutes of his life the boy did not breathe. The duration of hypoxia was 3.5 minutes. After discharge from the hospital, the boy grew and developed well in terms of physical parameters. He sat up and started walking on time, and his parents had no doubts about his health. When a little time passed and Matvii turned 2 years old, his parents began to notice that the boy was different from his peers. The parents went to a neurologist, who diagnosed the boy with the consequences of hypoxic-ischemic damage with autism spectrum disorder and a 1st degree speech delay. The doctors began to examine Matvii thoroughly and discovered a congenital heart defect - an open arterial duct. The parents went for a consultation with a cardiac surgeon in Kyiv, who told them that surgery was necessary.
The family's income does not allow them to buy an occluder for their son's endovascular surgery. Until recently, the boy's father, Volodymyr Buzyl, served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Air Assault Troops of the 79th Brigade in Maryanka. Now he has been demobilised for family reasons - his father suffered a stroke. His mother is a student.
Thanks to the benefactors who supported the campaign of Elvira Hasanova and Evgenia Tkachenko, on 10 January 2023, Matviy underwent surgery to install a heart implant which costs 41 000 UAH.
We thank all the benefactors for their trust and support!
