Support for Volodymyr Nakonechnyi, born in 2017

Vladimir Nakonechny was born in 2017. In the first year of his life, the boy was diagnosed with a congenital heart defect - a defect in the atrial septum.  Since then, Volodymyr has been under constant supervision of doctors who have been monitoring and checking his heart. As the child grew, the examination data showed a deterioration in the cardiovascular system - signs of right atrial overload and insufficiency of the tricuspid valve.

Volodymyr is now 6 years old. In November 2023, he had an online consultation at the Amosov Kyiv Institute of Cardiovascular Surgery. The doctors recommended closing the atrial septal defect using the endovascular method - by installing an occluder. The boy's parents work as lecturers at Zaporizhzhia Medical and Pharmaceutical University. The father has a second group of disability due to a general illness that requires expensive monthly treatment. The family's income does not allow them to purchase a heart implant for endovascular surgery.

Thanks to philanthropists who supported the campaign of Elvira Hasanova and Yevgenia Tkachenko, on 9 January 2023, Volodymyr Nakonechnyi underwent surgery to install a heart implant, which cost UAH 119,947.  The help was invaluable for the family and will allow the boy to have a better quality of life!
