My name is Yuri Gusev, and 15 November is my birthday. For several years now, traditionally, on this day, I have been making a “hearty gift” to children who have serious health problems and need help!
This year I joined the project of the Charitable Foundation "Heart of the Future", which collects funds to save Nina Kulik - she needs more than 99,000 hryvnias are needed.
The Kulik family lives in the Kherson region in the village Baltazarovka of the Chaplinsky district. The girl has a congenital heart defect and needs urgent surgery. In September of this year, Nina began to complain of not feeling well. As it turned out, the reason for this is an atrial septal defect - a serious lack of heart function.
Since the defect was detected at the wrong time, and the load on the heart increased with age, the defect must be urgently closed with an intracardiac implant. Such operations are carried out free of charge in Kiev by the NISSH. Amosov, where Nina was sent. However, the implant must be purchased at your own expense. As I already said, its cost is more than 99 thousand UAH. For the Kulik family, this amount is exorbitant. Therefore, one cannot do without the help of caring people!
The family also has a youngest child. Nina's dad has only seasonal earnings, and her mother works as a janitor in a kindergarten with a salary of only UAH 2,000. For these scanty funds, the family can barely make ends meet. They are saving food from their own garden and a small farm.
