On December 16, Denis Pushka underwent surgery
Denis, a sincere, inquisitive, and cheerful boy, was eagerly awaiting his first day of school—he was getting ready for school, dreaming of new friends and exciting discoveries. But instead of studying, Denis faced a challenge. During a routine medical examination this summer, he was diagnosed with a serious heart defect for the first time — a secondary multiple atrial septal defect measuring almost 14 mm.
Prior to this, the boy had undergone regular checkups, and the doctors had not found any problems. But now Denis urgently needs surgery — the defect must be closed to preserve his health and give him back his childhood without restrictions.
The family finds itself in difficult circumstances: his mother cares for her son and has her own health problems, and his father has lost his job. The parents cannot afford to buy the expensive implant on their own, so they are asking for help.
On December 16, 2025, the Amosov Institute successfully performed surgery on Pushka Denis, born on December 14, 2018, from the Odessa region. The implant, costing 140,598 UAH, was purchased thanks to YBS International.
Denis recently celebrated his birthday. We sincerely congratulate him on his birthday and on a new, healthy stage in his life!
