Approximately 4,500 children born each year in Ukraine with congenital heart defects. 6-8 cases of congenital heart disease per 1000 live births. Every day in Ukraine there are 12 children with heart defects. The lives of these children can change the operation-finding a heart implant. This operation is performed without opening the chest, takes place without stopping the heart and deep anesthesia. Three days healthy child can leave the hospital. In this operation there is only one drawback – the cost. For many families in Ukraine, this operation is unavailable. Endovascular intervention was performed via a puncture of the vessels of the lower extremities without an incision, cardiac arrest and deep anesthesia. The advantages of endovascular interventions:

- Don't need rehabilitation,

- After 1-2 days patients are discharged from the hospital completely healthy.

Disadvantages:

- The price, which ranges from 36 to 108 000 UAH for the purchase of necessary equipment (the implant). The state no longer allocates money for the purchase of implants. To save the lives of children, doctors have to reveal the chest. This leads to a long rehabilitation, and a mandatory cardiac arrest during the operation, the child may experience serious complications. Parents have to ask for the help of caring people. With the purpose of raising funds for the acquisition of cardiac implants, and was created by our Foundation.
