Caritas (Latin for "caritas" - charity, selfless, selfless love) is an international network of charities, which is a confederation of 165 national organizations. The goal that unites all Caritas - the development of civil society and solidarity, the protection of human rights and activities in the field of social policy. Caritas of Ukraine was founded in 1994 to coordinate the efforts of charitable organizations of local communities of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, to represent them at the national level, to develop cooperation with foreign centers of Caritas. Thanks to Caritas Ukraine, a network of local charities has been formed and is expanding today. Charitable organization Caritas Kharkiv Charitable Foundation started its operations in September 2014 as an "emergency assistance" for the challenges of internal and external situation. The Fund is officially registered by the Kharkov Exarchate of the UGCC and ICF "Caritas Ukraine" on March 6, 2015. The Caritas Kharkiv Charitable Foundation is a Christian organization that helps people in the Kharkiv Exarchate (Kharkiv, Poltava, Sumy regions).
