BSM "Caritas" Chortkiv
The charity complex, which now houses "Caritas" Chortkiv, was built in 1899 and operates as a Charity Service. In 1993, a home for the golden age was established here, which receives round-the-clock medical, social care and spiritual and psychological support, regardless of religion. In 1996, a rehabilitation center was established for children with disabilities who are in full-time inpatient care, undergoing workshops, trainings, rehabilitation, socialization, self-care skills, visiting holy, cultural places.
In 2011, the Center for Palliative and Hospice Care at Home was established, providing social, psychological and spiritual support to the seriously ill, the elderly, the lonely, and the poor. Humanitarian aid is also provided for low-income families and orphans who find themselves in a very difficult financial situation.
With the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine, the project "Response to emergency situations due to hostilities in Ukraine" began to be implemented, which is aimed at helping IDPs, issuing in-kind aid (food, hygiene kits, hygiene products for babies and people with disabilities , housing rental grants), hot lunches, provision of firewood, provision of social and psychological support, exit from difficult crisis situations.
