NGO "Autizm. Alternative"

There are several activities in our organization.

1. To create professional environment in our city that helps people with mental disability (particularly with autism). We establish professional and friendly contacts with organizations in Kharkov, its region and neighboring areas. Together with colleagues-organizations study and decide which areas of assistance are already covered, what social services are provided, what assistance is lack of and we have to work in this direction. Sharing experience, knowledge of the areas and possibilities of friendly organizations allows us to orient the family, to be caught in a difficult situation such as the birth of a child with special needs, in the possibilities of social services, medical, psychological, correctional care in our city. Also, we are now looking for opportunities to help families in leisure activities, summer camps for children, professional orientation of adolescents with autism.

2 . To conduct immediate remedial work with children. Currently we support the correctional center, which experts provide children with various disabilities with professional assistance.

3. To correct the public opinion, to draw attention to the problem, work with the media.
