NGO "Spas"

Non-governmental organization Children Youth Academy of Cossacks’ martial art "Spas" was registered in March 2000. The initiator of this is a member of the Council of the Ukrainian Cossacks under the President of Ukraine Alexander Pritula, who still does everything to implement the main objectives of the organization - to promote the development of Ukrainian culture and national traditions and to spread Cossack martial Custom Spas for patriotic education of children and youth.

Members of the organization is actively revive and promote the historical and spiritual traditions of the Ukrainian people, search and study customs and traditions of Ukrainian people. Several particular ethnographic expeditions took place in Odessa, Donetsk, Lviv, Kiev, Dnepropetrovsk and other areas of Ukraine, as well as in areas of historic settlement of ethnic Ukrainian in the Russian Federation, on the Kuban and the city of Tver.
Since 2001, martial arts "Spas" as a course within the discipline "Physical education" have benn taught at the National University "Kyiv-Mohyla Academy" and from 2003 - in the arts department of National Inter-Regional Academy of Personnel Management.
For more than 10 years of existence have been implemented numerous social and charity events, sports and recreational projects for children and youth with cultural, historic and patriotic directions. Children's Youth Academy Cossack martial art is involved in organizing and conducting:
- All-Ukrainian festival "Dnepr rapids" (Dnepropetrovsk);
- All-Ukrainian festival "Polye" (Gulyaypole);
- International Festival of Cossack martial arts and traditional "Spas on Khortitsa" in memory of Anatoly Yermak;
- The Regional Children's Art "Star Trek";
- International Folklore Festival "The Power of Ukraine";
- Series of sports tournaments and competitions on the Ukrainian fighting "Spas" nationwide, regional, and regional scales;
- Children's sports and recreation camps on the island of Khortytsya;
- Scientific and practical conferences, round tables, seminars and presentations on the development of a national system of physical and patriotic education, Cossack pedagogy, the revival of traditions of public authorities, state-building and other development issues of the Ukrainian society;
- Charities, environmental, cultural and other activities designed to preserve the historical and spiritual heritage of the Ukrainian people, promoting healthy lifestyles and national traditions.
Particular attention DYUSHKBM "Spas" pays attention to the education of teachers. All coaches, teachers and schools have been trained and constantly raise their qualification level in the Academy of Martial Arts, which operates as part of the NGO “Ukrainian Federation of Spas”.
