Mission of the NGO "Vidchui": social adaptation of children and adolescents with hearing impairment, assistance in pedagogical rehabilitation of hearing-impaired children and adolescents, improvement of the emotional state of families with hearing impairment by proving them with leisure and recreation, advocacy of rights and interests of people with hearing impairments , sign language popularization.

 

NGO "Vidchui" is an organizational association of hearing impaired citizens created by Andriy Pyshny, which aims to protect the interests of members of the organization, integrate them into society, social work and medical rehabilitation, meet and protect their legal, economic, creative, age, national-cultural, sports and other interests.

During the existence of our organization we have managed to carry out many important and useful projects. First rehabilitation Children’s Center “Vidchuy” was established to help families with children with hearing impairments, where about 120 families from all over Ukraine come to study every week. During the 5 years of existence thousands of people have come through the Center. We have created many educational projects, such as unique musical class “BigBach”, interactive lessons “Living Language”, on-line sign language course at vumonline.org and megogo.net, video lessons “Simple Things” and “5 Words”. There are also projects focused on socialization of the young people with hearing impairments, such as creative space/co-working "ТАМ", teen club "-teens", club "Junior". It is the six time we carry out summer inclusive camp for teenagers “Vidchuy”. For the last 5 years more than a thousand of children were able to spend some part of their summer holidays having fun and learning something new. Social enterprise "Inclusive Friendly" was founded as a unique project for publicizing inclusiveness in the society. In 2018, we started a project “When the Silence Starts to Speak”, that includes photo project "Star Alphabet” (Bronze at Effie Awards Ukraine 2018) and "Silent Opera" (Gold at Effie Awards Ukraine 2018, Gols at Sabre Awards 2019).
