ICF “Community Wellbeing”
Over 10 000 rural families, united in agricultural service cooperatives, received help in the form of high productive agriculture animals, elite seeds of plants, agricultural equipment for common use in the framework of cooperation, knowledge and skills under the condition of passing the equivalent of the receive to other families in the agreed period of time (“passing on the gift”).
ICF “Community Wellbeing” also finances projects supporting rural families who have suffered from disasters; agro-ecological projects that are aimed at saving disappearing breeds of animals,, and projects aimed at developing green rural tourism and other activities fostering sustainable development of local communities.
One of the important components of the implemented projects is support of the rural youth initiatives, other vulnerable groups and ensuring equal rights and opportunities for men and women in Ukraine. Moreover the number and role of corporate social responsibilities projects is growing rapidly. First several projects were launched in cooperation with Danone company and allows thousands of rural families small producers improve their wellbeing by uniting into the cooperatives and being involved into high quality milk production with further sale to Danone. The organization is a part of Heifer International network that was founded in 1944 in the USA, implements projects in more than 125 countries in the world and has provided assistance to more than 13.6 million families.
