We delivered equipment to Kyiv City Clinical Hospital No. 5, where every day they fight for the lives of their youngest patients.
The postnatal care and early rehabilitation department for newborns now has phototherapy lamps and pulse oximeters — simple in appearance, but critically important for infants.
Phototherapy lamps help treat jaundice in newborns. For babies, excess bilirubin is not a “cosmetic” condition, but a real threat to the brain and life. Phototherapy light gently and safely helps the child's body cope with this condition in the first, most critical days.
Pulse oximeters allow doctors to constantly monitor the oxygen level in an infant's blood. For premature babies, this is vital: any change in breathing or heart activity must be noticed immediately.
This equipment is about timeliness. About control. About the chance for a stable start in life.
