On April 5, 2023, the enemy launched anti-aircraft fire on the territory of the Koksokhim plant in the city of Avdiivka. It was there that Vladyslav received a mine-explosive injury, a fracture-dislocation of the 6th cervical vertebra and a contusion of the spinal cord. Brothers got SAMURAI from under the rubble, and immediately evacuated him to the hospital in Pokrovsk, Donetsk region. When the defender regained consciousness, he could not feel his body at all - he could not move his arms or legs. After Pokrovsk, he was transferred to the city of Dnipro, to the Mechnikov hospital, where on April 11, 2023. performed an operation and installed a "cage" titanium implant and a monosegmental plate. After the operation, he began to feel his body little by little. And from that moment, a long path of rehabilitation began.
Now it is necessary to continue the recovery. Rehabilitation will be aimed at improving walking, improving fine motility in the hands and general physical condition. We hope that after rehabilitation, Samurai will be able to return to active walking and running.
