News June 2026

Taking up sports to prevent complications from diabetes—that’s what Dasha is all about. The disease changed her life, but taught her not to give up. Painful procedures, restrictions, a strict diet, and constant monitoring have become part of her daily routine.

Daria used to climb, then she took up pole dancing. Now she’s passionate about dancing. Training not only helps her take her mind off her illness and the war, but also keeps her healthy.

To keep her diabetes under control, Daria needs Freestyle Libre 2 sensors.

The sensors help prevent dangerous spikes in blood sugar, which can lead to a coma and the development of complications. Unfortunately, the disease has already taken a toll on Daria’s health: her vision has deteriorated, and she has lost sensation in her legs.

Dasha dreams of returning to her hometown of Nikopol. Her family was forced to leave due to shelling and is currently renting an apartment in Pokrov. Today, they especially need our support.

Let’s work together to reach our fundraising goal so that Dasha can live an active and confident life. Every hryvnia and every share counts!
