Roma had a very active winter holiday. He rode a sled and slid down ice slides.
Roman is preparing to start first grade. He already knows the alphabet and numbers and can identify animals, objects and colours. But the most important work is still ahead of him – developing his speech and attention span.
The boy has autism spectrum disorder and hyperactivity. At the age of 5, he underwent his first rehabilitation course at the Ioannovo Centre, which was a real breakthrough in his development. Roma began to better understand spoken language, learned to point, and improved his concentration.
At the Ioannovo Centre, Roman receives comprehensive treatment: massage, exercise therapy, sensory integration, sessions with a psychologist and speech therapist. Thanks to this, he can stand in line at a shop or hospital, put words together according to a pattern, trace shapes with a pencil, and repeat short words.
So that in February, Roman can undergo another course of rehabilitation.
