Timur is in Year 4 and is studying online. He loves playing snowballs, and his family has built a small ice rink at home.

When Timur was only 5 years old, war came to his hometown of Polohy. For 9 months, the family lived in a damp basement. It was cramped and cold, and explosions thundered overhead. To escape the occupation, his mother had to give away all their savings. They started their lives anew in Kamyanske.

That basement became not only a shelter for Timur, but also the beginning of his struggle to breathe freely. Doctors later diagnosed him with bronchial asthma caused by severe allergies to mould and dust mites.

Timur needs allergen-specific immunotherapy with Oraltek to reduce his sensitivity to allergens and relieve the symptoms of the disease. This is the only way for the child to breathe freely. He also needs Pulmicort for inhalation, which reduces swelling, coughing and shortness of breath.
