News February 2026
Sviatoslav is 13 years old. He lives in Nikopol, near the front line, studies online in Year 7 and enjoys every minute without shelling when he can be with his friends.
Sviatoslav was diagnosed with diabetes at the age of 10. Since then, his daily reality has been about 6 insulin injections and up to 10 finger pricks. Sensors used to help him, but his supply has run out. The boy is forced to prick his fingers again.
Svyatoslav loves music and dreams of learning to play the guitar. He also wants to become a programmer and create his own games and websites.
To safely and comfortably control his blood sugar levels and avoid serious heart, kidney, and vision problems, Svyatoslav needs Libre 2 sensors. These devices automatically measure blood glucose levels and send the results to a smartphone. Unfortunately, one sensor only works for 14 days and costs 2,270 UAH.
We have launched a fundraiser to provide Svyatoslav with sensors for a year.
Friends, let's help this child live without pain. Let's preserve his childhood, even amid the sounds of alarms!
