Undergoing rehabilitation
The goal of the project was to raise funds for Artem Chorny, who has a complex diagnosis: psychoorganic syndrome, cerebral vascular malformation, Dandy-Walker syndrome, ataxic syndrome, muscular hypotonia syndrome, structural epilepsy, underdevelopment of expressive-receptive speech, Level I intellectual disability, hyperdynamic syndrome, ASD, moderate impairment of adaptation and communication, as well as equino-varus deformity of both feet, for which he requires rehabilitation at the International Center for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology.
Thanks to the platform of the UBB International Charitable Foundation, dobro.ua, and donors, the necessary amount of 25,000.00 UAH was raised. The Foundation paid for Artem’s rehabilitation course, and he underwent rehabilitation at the International Center for Rehabilitation and Neurophysiology from February 2, 2026, to March 31, 2026.
This rehabilitation was a crucial step toward improving his physical condition, developing communication skills, behavioral regulation, and quality of life. After completing the rehabilitation course, positive progress was observed in Artem. According to the consultative opinion of a physician in physical and rehabilitation medicine, the individual rehabilitation plan was fully implemented. The child has shown improvement in self-regulation and social behavior, as well as positive changes in eating behavior—Artem has begun to chew larger pieces of food.
