Light against fear: raising funds for the inverter

In Drohobych, the “Together We Are Stronger” children’s center operates every day at the Caritas SDE UGCC Charity Foundation. Children of military personnel, children of fallen defenders, and IDPs receive support here. The center is visited by up to 30 children each week. They work with a psychologist, study, participate in creative activities, and gradually regain a sense of stability. This is a place where children can be safe. However, during power outages, classes have to be interrupted. The room quickly gets cold and dark, and the children return to disturbing memories. Children say: “When it’s cold and there’s no light, it reminds us of the time when we were at home and we could hear explosions.” “It gets scary again in the dark.”

In order for the center to operate without interruptions, it is necessary to install a hybrid inverter with an energy storage system. This will allow classes to be held even during power outages, keep the room warm, and provide children with a stable, safe space. Thanks to the support of those who care, the first steps have already been taken - fundraising for equipment has begun. A significant part of the amount is still ahead. Every contribution is an opportunity for children to continue their education, receive psychological help, and not be left in the dark.
