The top 5 news on the platform.January 2025

The beginning of the year is a time to give thanks and continue to help. December 2024 was full of warmth, support and good deeds. Thanks to your help, we continue to implement the projects we talk about in our news.
The project ‘Create a special place in the hospital!’, Zaporuka Foundation.
Can a hospital become a place without fear? We are convinced that it can! Thanks to the support of our partners, the team of the Zaporuka Charitable Foundation is creating a comfortable space in the reception area of the Children's Medical Centre in Lviv.
From February to August 2024, the following areas were renovated: the patient reception area; the working area for doctors; and comfortable rooms for staff. For the implementation of this project, dobro.ua philanthropists are raising UAH 500,000! The centre receives about 1,100 young patients a month. We are confident that comfortable conditions will help children to adapt more easily, and doctors to work even more effectively.
The project ‘Kurazh Garage Sale 2024: Hospitallers’, dobro.ua.
UAH 184,000 is being raised by Courage Garage Sale 2024 to buy fuel for the Hospitallers. This is a critically important need, because without fuel, volunteer medics cannot do their job - save lives.
Thanks to the funds raised, from November to December, 10 crews receive more than 4,000 litres of diesel fuel. This allows them to evacuate wounded soldiers and provide medical assistance from Kyiv to Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipro and Poltava regions.
‘The Hospitallers is a volunteer organisation of paramedics founded in 2014 by military servicewoman and volunteer Yana Zinkevich. They work on the frontline, evacuating the wounded and providing emergency care in the most difficult conditions.
The project ‘Life in Every Drop’, CHARITABLE FUND ‘SVICHADO’.
In December 2024, the Svichado Charitable Foundation will donate 6 infusion machines to the Zhytomyr and Odesa Regional Children's Hospitals.
These are indispensable devices for nursing preterm infants who need accurate and continuous administration of medicines and nutrients. A mistake in dosage can have serious consequences, so the accuracy and stability provided by the devices are vital.
UAH 417,250 was raised thanks to donors from dobro.ua and cashback from Monobank clients.
The project ‘Help us save the eyesight of military!’, Charity Fund "See the victory"
The Mobile Eye Care project is aimed at supporting military personnel who are unable to leave their deployment for long periods of time. A team of doctors from the Novyi Zir and Eximer medical centres travel to them to treat visual diseases and provide assistance to those with ophthalmic injuries on the spot.
As part of the project, 215 servicemen of the Third Separate Assault Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (3rd Separate Assault Brigade) receive medical care. Thanks to benefactors, glasses and eye drops were purchased for them, as well as car rental, fuel and driver services. The total amount donated to help the defenders is UAH 50,016.
The project ‘Warm clothes for the affected elderly in Sumy’, CO "Let's Help".
In September 2024, the Russian army destroyed the Sumy Geriatric Nursing Home, leaving lonely elderly people without homes and basic necessities. The 40 elderly people evacuated to the Sinoe Nursing Home are in dire need of the most basic necessities - warm clothes.
Thanks to the benefactors of the dobro.ua platform, we managed to raise UAH 20,941 to help them. In early December, the team of the Let's Help charity provides the victims with warm clothes: fleece jackets, T-shirts, underwear and winter shoes. The grandparents who survived the horrors of shelling and evacuation are sincerely happy to receive new clothes and support.
We are grateful to everyone who joins in. We continue to give hope and change lives for the better!
The dobro.ua platform is supported by voluntary donations from donors and the annual grant from the Victor Pinchuk Foundation.
