Tools of life: surgical aid for children in Odesa

Within the framework of the project «Tools of life: surgical care for children of Odesa», the department of emergency, emergency and traumatological care of KNP «Children's City Clinical Hospital №3» m. Odessa.
It is the only pediatric surgery in the city that takes children with injuries, acute conditions and complications requiring urgent surgery every day.

In just 10 months of 2024, the unit provided care to more than 1,200 children, of whom 624 passed through the operating table.
In order for doctors to be able to provide care safely, accurately and qualitatively, modern instrumental support is necessary, without which it is impossible to carry out surgical interventions quickly, carefully and without unnecessary traumatization.

The project was implemented thanks to the charitable support of the 4FRIENDS company in cooperation with BO MBF «Ukrainian Charity Exchange» (dobro.ua).
The instruments were paid on 21 July 2025 for a total of 163,340.80 hryvnias.

July 30, 2025 Department of Emergency, Emergency and Traumatological Care KNP «Children's City Clinical Hospital №3» m. Odesa received the necessary modern surgical instruments manufactured by Aesculap AG (Germany).

Tool supplier: LLC «B. Brown Medical Ukraine» — is the official representative of the manufacturer in Ukraine.

The received equipment will significantly increase the quality and safety of surgical interventions, allow doctors to work more accurately and efficiently, and children — to recover faster after operations.
