On 25 June 2025, dobro.ua published a project entitled ‘Ukraine WOW: Heirs’ with the aim of raising funds to organise and run an exhibition. In June 2025, the preparatory stage of the ‘Ukraine WOW: Heirs’ project began. As part of the first stage, the project team:
- Developed a concept for an exhibition dedicated to Ukraine's uniqueness, its achievements, historical heritage and future.
- Created interactive and audiovisual zones, including installations on the themes of history, culture, nature, etc.
- Selected and prepared the location: a hangar at the Central Railway Station in Kyiv (near the Railway Transport Museum, next to track 14).
- Architects, designers and visualisers were involved in creating the exhibitions and spatial solutions.
- A charitable component of the exhibition was planned — fundraising to support museums and cultural institutions in Ukraine.
With the funds received from dobro.ua, the following was provided:
- Architectural planning of the exhibition's thematic blocks and the location of the main installations was developed;
- Preparation of the exhibition venue: installation of plywood flooring over the tracks, construction of additional plasterboard walls, surface preparation, painting and plastering;
- Visualisations and designs for display cases and interactive areas of the exhibition were developed, as well as print layouts for internal exhibition materials;
- The installations ‘Tunnel of Love’, ‘Kyiv Thrones’, ‘Kazimir Malevich’, ‘Ukrainian Field’, ‘Ukrainian Meadow’, ‘Ukrainian Huts’ (in three variations — Chernihiv, Odesa, and Zakarpattia regions) and the miniature “Earth”; decorated the areas ‘Panno for Kyiv Thrones,’ ‘Wall,’ and ‘Scenography by Alexandra Exter’;
- The interior decoration of the carriage was carried out, in particular the preparation and creation of a base for hand painting in the interactive zone ‘Carriage of Thoughts’;
- Four display cases were manufactured and installed in the thematic block of the exhibition ‘Earth’ and six display cases in the thematic block ‘Heirs’;
- Video material was filmed and videos were edited for VR glasses with images of Mount Dragobrat and Bakot Bay;
- Software was developed for interactive tablets, enabling visitors to interact with the content presented in individual installations at the exhibition.
The exhibition opened to visitors on 25 September.
The Ukraine WOW: Heirs project has become an important cultural platform that has united Ukrainians around the themes of national identity, generational continuity and faith in Ukraine's future.
Due to high audience interest and significant attendance, the exhibition was extended twice:
• from 9 November to 30 November 2025;
• from 4 December 2025 to 11 January 2026.
During the extension of the exhibition from 4 December 2025 to 11 January 2026, the Ukraine WOW: Heirs project exhibition was updated and expanded with new exhibits and installations. Unique objects of Ukraine's cultural, scientific and sporting heritage were added to the exhibition, including Crimean gold from the 1st century AD from the Treasury of the National Museum of Ukrainian History, Panteleimon Kulish's ‘Grammar’ from 1857, a model of the MAGURA marine drone, a designer hat by Ruslan Baginsky for Galeries Lafayette, Oscar statuettes by Anatoliy Kokush, NAVI team cups, Olympic medals of Ukrainian athletes, and Elina Svitolina's WTA Finals 2018 cup.
A number of installations were also updated: the Tunnel of Love and Water Lily Pond photo zones received winter decorations; in the Artists zone, Viktor Zaretsky's winter landscapes were brought to life with the help of neural networks, and miniatures of leading cultural institutions appeared; in the ‘Music’ zone, visitors were able to use VR glasses to find themselves on the stage of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine and hear the choir “Gomin” perform ‘Shchedryk’.
The update to the exhibition helped keep people interested and reinforced the idea of generational continuity — from ancient history to Ukraine's modern achievements.
With the additional funds received from the UBB Charitable Foundation, the technical equipment necessary for the exhibition was rented, namely:
- LED screens measuring 5x4 metres, 3.5x4 metres and with a total area of 66 square metres;
- lighting, sound and projection equipment for the thematic areas of the exhibition;
- media servers and their configuration to ensure the operation of multimedia and interactive installations.
Thanks to this, the exhibition maintained a high level of content quality, full operation of audiovisual solutions and the integrity of the exhibition concept until the completion of the project.
The implementation of the project contributed to:
- increasing interest in Ukrainian culture, history and contemporary achievements;
- strengthening the sense of national unity and pride among visitors;
- supporting cultural institutions through the charitable component of the exhibition;
- creating a large-scale cultural product that works effectively with a wide audience in wartime conditions.
Over 3.5 months of operation, more than 250,000 visitors attended the exhibition, 35,000 of whom visited free of charge.
Thus, the Ukraine WOW: Heirs project confirmed that addressing national heritage through modern exhibition formats can create a deep personal experience of belonging for visitors, which strengthens the sense of generational continuity and responsibility for preserving cultural memory.
