English language for children in children’s homes
We plan to pay for an English language course for 10 children aged 13 to 18 who are brought up in family-type children’s homes. These children, like any other, have dreams and plans for the future, and learning English opens up additional opportunities for them.
A family-type children’s homes is a separate family created at the request of a spouse or an individual to take in at least 5 orphans and children deprived of parental care for upbringing and joint living. In other words, it is a big adopted family.
A family-type children’s homes need special support in the conditions of the great war in Ukraine. Yes, they are provided by the state, but, unfortunately, this is not enough to cover all costs. Our foundation has been supporting these families for the second year in a row, providing them with household and educational equipment, furniture and essential goods, and within the framework of this collection, we want to give children something that will stay with them forever and will help them many times in life – knowledge.
Children will have the opportunity to complete a 4-month English language school course, as well as tablets to be able to connect to online classes and do homework.

"I felt very sorry for them," Olga says, "and I asked the head of the department what kind of children they were, why did I get the answer that they were children abandoned by their parents. After these words, I had a desire to adopt a child", - at that time, Olga and her husband had a daughter Anastasia and a son Yevhen. Over the years, the foster family transformed into a family-type children home, and now Olga and her husband are raising 10 wonderful children. "
We lived very nicely and amicably until the war started. After destroying our house, we moved to the city of Poltava", as Olga and her husband from the Kharkiv region, Kupyan district.

"We met the war at home in Pryluky, we did not go anywhere. For the first three months, we prepared lunches for the boys at the checkpoints, we all prepared them together. In that period it was necessary to do something in order not to lose one's mind. The children suffered no less than ours, they were still afraid of the sound of airplanes and explosions for a long time. It's a little easier now, but the air alarms are constantly keeping us in suspense."
