Antoshka tired of being helpless!

"With the words of pain and hope the mother of 11-year-old Anton Olifirovich asks all kind and caring people for help. Nowadays, no one is safe from doctors’ errors – neither adults, nor children. As a result of this error, my son Anton acquired a terrible disease for all his life – cerebral palsy, and the main purpose of our life became a struggle with powerlessness!"

In late 2005 Anton was put this diagnosis, and even a couple more – spastic tetraparesis, mental and speech development delay, hip dysplasia, an epileptic syndrome. The mother and son were regularly held in-patient treatment in the regional psycho-neurological clinic named O.I.Yuschenko in Vinnitsa. The treatment, unfortunately, did not give results, as drug therapy was aimed at eliminating the symptoms rather than the body's recovery.

In 2009, due to the active drug load my son was diagnosed with pancreatitis 4 stage. The child cried for days and could not eat for a long time. This was a critical point because the pancreas fails, and without medicines muscle tonus and intracranial pressure were growing very quickly. Can you imagine the state of the mother, when there is her child crying, and you can’t help…?

But the world is not without good people, and, as they say, God sees everything and didn’t leave us. We were lucky, and since September 2010 we regularly underwent rehabilitation courses at the Medical Center of Dr. Bersenev in Kyiv. During this period, Anton was getting psycho verbal development. Just imagine – after the first course of treatment the boy began to speak and understand everything!

Currently, our Anton studies in 4-D form of school №3 in Vinnytsia. Located homeschooled! His memory has improved markedly. Seizure, which accompanied him for many years, completely disappeared! The conduction of nerve endings and blood circulation of hands and feet improved – there’s the heat, he is able to independently move fingers. Anton sleeps well, and learns self-control: to stand. But the tonus of the adductors is not going away. Anton is growing – and the muscles are pulling him. This problem still remains. But no one thought to give up!
