The device will breathe, and Ivanco - live!
Van’ka hastens to live. Cystic fibrosis doesn’t give a chance to relax, but the boy doesn’t give the illness any extra day. Van’ka rides a horse, shows tricks, plays the baby at the beach, and does yoga… He does chemical experiments, and inhalations, jumps over bonfire, peeps out of the tent… You can look at his photos for hours, and listen to the stories about his life for days… Van’ka hastens to live. His lungs are late. Breathlessness and weakness require staying at home more often. But Van’ka is not going to calm down. He is dreaming about portable oxygen concentrator. Let the apparatus breathe if they lungs can’t. And Van’ka will live!
Cystic fibrosis is a severe genetic disease that damages the whole organism. The digestive and respiratory organs are damaged by the illness more than any other. The expectoration is more viscous than healthy people have, it is difficult to cough it up and, it sticks to the bronchi blocking the respiratory tracts, and becomes the constant location for serious infections. Cystic fibrosis is a genetic lottery. Neither parents are guilty nor the environment influence… Just DNA breakdown: either it exists, or not…
A person born with a cystic fibrosis needs to do physical exercises every day, take many pills and make a lot of special inhalations. It is also necessary to stay in a hospital for intravenous therapy from time to time. Active life, sports, e.g. swimming, vocal exercises, doing yoga strengthen the organism and significantly defer the verdict, but the organism gets weaker little by little anyway. And once, one finds out that lungs can’t breathe properly... You can be depressed or become more courageous, draw any help you can, support one’s body and live big. Van’ka’s family has chosen the second option.
The boy will not stay at home because of cystic fibrosis. A socket and stationary oxygen concentrator helps to be in deep sleep and have good rest at night. But the day is for the adventures. The portable apparatus weight is only 2.5kg. You can put it on the shoulder like a bag and run to play and enjoy life like other boys do. Re-breathing apparatus will breathe, and Van’ka will live! Let us help this dream to come true!
