Vitamins of Joy Art Workshop

We ask you to help raise funds for creative workshops for children at the Onco-Hematology Department of Zhytomyr Regional Children's Clinical Hospital. Up to 30 children are permanently treated at the ward. This small group of superhero kids every day has an extremely difficult time fighting for their lives and going through intense battles. Many children have many years of cancer treatment, often going beyond the hospital, which limits their communication and makes it impossible to study. In addition, it is all accompanied by constant painful procedures and their unpleasant consequences (hair loss, gastrointestinal problems, nausea, exhaustion).

Young patients are constantly experiencing stress and negative emotions. Such children need a positive emotional-colored leisure at the ward, which will help improve the course of treatment and many children live in the wards of the hospital.

The purpose of our project is to provide a system of weekly art-therapeutic measures for the organization of children's leisure in order to facilitate their fight against illness, to fill the hospital weekdays with positive emotions and memories.

We plan to visit the ward weekly and work with children in the following areas: play therapy, isotherapy, drama, fairytale therapy, sand therapy and music therapy. Considering the number of children in the ward and the cost of materials, we need to raise the sum of 33 thousand 600 UAH (4 lessons * 12 months * 700 UAH = 33 600 UAH). Provided purchase: 2 tables for drawing sand, a set of characters for a finger puppet theater, a tape recorder, felt for sewing covers on a dropper in the form of fairy-tale characters, "cheerful" masks and hats for volunteers, gifts for "box of courage", child's and methodical literature and other materials.
