Oxygen service is one of the most important projects of our Foundation. We provide oxygen concentrators, free of charge, to be used by seriously ill people with breathing problems, whose lungs have been damaged by the disease. An oxygen concentrator is quite costly, but once purchased, it can be transferred from patient to patient for years to come. One just needs to ensure its adequate disinfection, timely replacement of filters, humidifiers, acquisition of new sets of breathing tubes of various lengths for each individual patient, and regular checkup.  

We do all this at our Foundation, thus relieving a patient's family of these worries. We keep in touch with our patients without weekends or holiday breaks. But in order for our service to work smoothly, we always need to have a supply of consumables at hand. We ask your help with these expenses.

An oxygen concentrator is a fairly simple unit. It filters oxygen directly from the ambient air and delivers the near-pure oxygen (93-95% concentration) directly to the patient's nose through special tubes. In the process, the air first passes through two external filters, which purify it, then – through a tank with zeolite, which vents the nitrogen and lets through molecules of oxygen. Afterward, the oxygen passes through a humidifier to reduce irritation of the patient's mucous membranes, and only then enters the patient's respiratory tract. Special filters are installed for each phase of the process, and they gradually wear out. Their timely replacement determines the quality of the oxygen received by a patient and stable operation of the unit. The late replacement can cause the unit failure and the need for it to be dispatched for repair.
