I run to pay for hours of life. Valentyna Bondarenko

My name is Valentyna Bondarenko. I'm a 45 years old woman with one of the most creative professions. I'm a florist. When people see my floral arrangements they smile. I feel like my floral art brings them joy. Recently I became a fan of running.

Every morning at 5 am I am going for my runs. When I am running I can hear the birds are singing and see the sun is shining, those little things are bringing me happiness. Every day I am trying to be better than yesterday.
Even though I don't have much of experience, I want to use my hobby of running to do something good for other people. I started running last year. Its all began when Facebook with a team of designers initiated the marathon. We were fundraising for oxygen tanks. Even though running was a challenge for me, I was trying to win. This year I was anxiously awaiting for the new marathon. We are fundraising for one person this time. Oxana Smal’ lives in Lviv with her daughter. For the last two years she relay on medicine to stay alive. Not many of us needs pills in order to breathe, walk, raise children. Not many, but some do. Oxana one of those people who’s life you can put the price on. One hour of her life costs UAH37 .

This year my goal is to run 10 km. I would like help Oxana to pay for 240 hours. 10 days and 10 nights of life
