During the period November 2025 and February 2026, the Elina Svitolina Charitable Foundation ran a programme of psychological support for young Ukrainian tennis players entitled ‘The Athlete’s Mental Health’. Funds were raised on the dobro.ua platform by the Ukrainian Charity Exchange International Charitable Foundation through the project “Charity Star Courage 2025: Elina Svitolina Charitable Foundation”, including during the Charity Star Courage event held on 14–15 June 2025.
The programme was created in response to the growing need for psychological support for children and teenagers who continue to participate in sport amidst the war. Its aim was to help participants restore their inner balance, learn to cope with stress and difficulties, and maintain motivation and focus on their own development in sport and life.
The programme combined regular group sessions, individual sessions with a psychologist, and mindfulness practices. All activities took place online. Participants developed skills in emotional resilience, self-regulation, stress management, building confidence, and self-support in challenging situations. During the programme, the following were conducted: 12 group sessions (12 × 3,384.00 = 40,608.00 UAH), 244 individual psychological sessions (244 × 1,481.00 = 361,242.00 UAH) and 15 practical group mindfulness sessions (15 × 1,058.00 = 15,863.00 UAH), in which 35 tennis players aged 12–16 took part.
