Bohdan dreams of walking

A year after a mild cold, the parents began to notice that Bohdanchyk became weaker, began to sit worse, and began to fall near the support. At the age of 1.9, a disappointing diagnosis of cerebral palsy was made. It was then that the life of young parents changed.

Bohdan was born on time, a healthy and handsome baby. For a year, the family lived happily and enjoyed the new experience of being parents. Nothing foreshadowed disaster and the doctors did not notice any deviations from the norm. Bohdan could hold his head, roll over, crawl and sit, stood up and walked near the support. But a year after a mild cold, everything changed, mom and dad sounded the alarm and their long journey to find a diagnosis began. The best neurologists in the city, infectious disease specialists, geneticists, 2 MRI scans, electroneuromyography, all possible tests (viruses, hormones, vitamins, amino acids, etc.). Meanwhile, literally in a month, the child stopped sitting with a straight back and began to stand up by the support, pulling himself up with the handles, his legs became very weak. Bohdan practiced in rehabilitation centers and the parents hoped that everything would be made up and their son would walk on his feet.

Now Bohdan's cherished dream is to walk and play football and hide and seek with the children on the playground. Doctors and rehabilitators give good forecasts, mom and dad live in the belief that everything will work out for them and their son.

Because of the war, the family had to leave their native city of Kharkiv, all classes and rehabilitation were stopped. Now the family has returned home, but due to the situation in the country and the lack of work, it is not possible to pay for the course. We believe that with joint efforts we will be able to help a young family and their native boy will be able to walk and play games with his friends.
