Alina fighting for breath continues

Alina's fate did not smile for her from the first days of her life. She was born with a heart defect. The mother was deprived of parental rights. Subsequently, the girl had a new family, but after learning about her severe heart disease, they abandoned the girl. Once Natalia Gordienko, having met five-year-old Alinka, in spite of everything, firmly decided to give her home comfort and maternal warmth. The doctors then diagnosed the girl: congenital heart disease. Eisenmenger syndrome.

For 10 years, Alina's family was in debt because of the significant costs of its treatment. It was difficult for Alinka to go out and move about the room. The child felt severe pain and pressure in the chest, dizziness, shortness of breath and great fatigue. Aline lacked oxygen. The young girl was attached to an oxygen generator, which helped to cope with the already weakened lung. The only way out was transplantation of the heart-lung organocomplex.

For six long months, Alina was waiting for donor organs. And waited. A new page of her life opened before her, she was transplanted in an Indian clinic. And, it would seem, all is well, but in fact, Alina has a persistent cough, blood counts jump ("Tacrolimus") and she cannot be fully examined. In Ukraine, there is no specific medical institution, where it would be observed, examined and, if necessary, treated for patients under 18 years after organ transplantation of the heart-lung organocomplex.

Alina is already waiting for the diagnosis by an Indian clinic where she was transplanted. The cost of examination and treatment is 10,800 US dollars (approximately 302,400 UAH). The bill includes staying in the clinic, tests, necessary medications. Alina and her guardian's family went through a difficult and long journey. Alina again needs our support. Do not leave her!
