A life saved does not always sound like an ambulance siren. It often starts with donor centers, where some people donate blood or its components for the benefit of others.
On June 12, on the eve of World Donor Day, five employees of the “Pomogayem” Charitable Foundation donated blood plasma to Biopharma Plasma Dnipro in support of Yulia Kutakova. They also received a gift of wicker flower baskets that Yulia created with her own hands!
“It was the first time in my life that I made a donation,” says Daryna Kalagina, a specialist in the financial department, "It's an incredible feeling to be useful not only at the workplace. I prepared carefully to make sure everything went well. This is my first time, but definitely not the last, because doing a small good deed is a very important step. I have heard a lot about Yulia, she is an incredible person. Donating blood plasma in her favor is an opportunity to support Yulia and show her that she is not alone."
“I had two unsuccessful attempts to donate plasma,” says Veronika Iliukhina, project manager, "but fortunately, I succeeded the third time. This is my first donation experience. Before that, I traveled with the team and watched my colleagues do such an important and good deed. It was very inspiring, and I wanted to be involved, to contribute to something really useful!
Now that I have experience, I feel even more strongly how important it is. When you donate plasma, you really help someone to survive, recover, and hold on. It's not just a good deed - it's about life. Sometimes your one act can be a great chance for someone. For me.
