If we were asked to describe Yulia in one word, it would be “strong.”

Yes, strong—about a person who has spent most of the last 10 years in bed due to cancer. We have been with her for nine of those ten years.

Despite the pain, cramps, and weakness, she not only maintains her strength of spirit, but also manages to work and volunteer. Yulia knits stylish items, from blankets and toys to bags and backpacks.

As for volunteering, she runs a page to help patients with the same diagnosis as hers.

Recently, Yulia's pain and cramps have intensified, and two of her fingers have become numb — a symptom of polyneuropathy. This is just one of the comorbidities that cancer has brought with it. Others include type 1 diabetes and adrenal insufficiency.

Now you can imagine: every month, Yulia needs a couple of dozen different medications.

And despite all this, Yulia has returned to knitting! Yes, even though two of her fingers refuse to work. Because movement is life!

She earns part of the money for her expensive medication for her main diagnosis by knitting.

Please, let's support Yulia together!
