Time matters for Veronika’s future

Veronika is a little girl with a serious congenital disease; she has Rett syndrome. Every day she faces challenges that are simple and natural for most children – movement, speech, focus, and interaction with others require enormous effort.

Her mother speaks about her daughter with love:

“Veronika is very small, but already very strong. She loves it when I hold her hand, listens to music, and looks deeply into my eyes, as if trying to understand this big world. But because of her severe brain injury, she has to overcome things every day that are easy for other children”.

Due to serious developmental impairments, Veronika struggles to express her emotions and needs and sometimes cannot calm herself without help.

“My daughter has significant developmental challenges: it is hard for her to speak, move, concentrate, and interact with people. I see how hard she tries, and I know that without regular treatment and therapy, her progress may stop,” her mother shares.

For children like Veronika, time is critical. Ongoing rehabilitation, therapy, and consistent work with specialists are essential for development. Veronika needs exactly this kind of help right now. 

“Every month without support is a lost opportunity. That is why we are asking for help now – so we don’t lose precious time and can give Veronika a chance for the future,”  her mother says.

The family’s greatest dream is for Veronika to better understand the world, communicate with others, and feel safe.

“I dream of simple things. Your support is not just help – it is belief that my child can live a fuller life".
