Dasha Kravchenko is from Kagarlyk, Kyiv region. In her 2 years and 3 months she can’t walk and stand on her feet. When the girl was 5 months old, she suffered from flu with a high temperature and convulsive disorder. When the family turned to the regional hospital, the child’s illness was diagnosed as acute inflammatory demyelinating polyradiculoneuropathy (AIDP) – there weren’t any reflexes in her legs and reflexes in arms and stomach were retarded.
Ever since then Darya struggles for her health. She has an insidious illness, called spastic paraplegia. She does vojta therapy, therapeutic gymnastics and massages at home with her mother and undergoes courses of treatment in Kozyavkin’s ICR (International Clinic of Rehabilitation). As a result, the child can already creeping and stands on her knees confidently, leaning on baby walker. However, this isn’t enough for a human’s happy life. Dasha’s mother wishes her daughter could run as other children. But funds for all needs are needed in order she could overcome her disease.
To consolidate an existing result and see a new progress as fast as it possible, Darya needs to undergo the next course of treatment at Bersenev Medical Center in Kyiv. Mother is forced to ask all caring people for help. Together we can help this little girl make the next step in her development, can’t we?
