Evgen loses the opportunity to study due to the lack of high-quality hearing aids. Now the guy is 14 years old, and he is planning a career as a programmer, but without hearing he cannot do what he loves.

Evgen lives in the small town Kamyanske near the Dnipro city. Since birth, Zhenya's hearing was lowered, but the parents and their son turned to the doctor when the boy was 5 years old: his underdeveloped speech and lack of reaction to the appeal of other people immediately attracted the attention of the kindergarten teachers, where the parents brought Zhenya. Then the doctor diagnosed him with neurosensory bilateral hearing loss of the 3rd degree. Mom could not come to her senses for a long time, because no one in the family had such health problems. "The whole world turned upside down, and since then I became a mother of a child with a disability, quit my job and started studying with Zhenya", says the boy's mother.

Since childhood, Evgen was banned from all active sports – disability stood in the way of serious achievements. Football, boxing and karate are unrealizable dreams that passed along with Zhenya's quiet childhood. Despite this, thanks to the tireless work with his mother and specialists, the boy goes to a regular school. However, due to hearing problems, Zhenya cannot study normally: it is difficult for him to learn foreign languages, pronounce words, write dictations, understand the rhythm of speech and punctuation marks.

The current online learning is also not easy for Evgen: the usual hearing aids that the guy uses now receive sound with everyday noise, lip reading is usually complicated, which is why Zhenya often loses the meaning of words and sentences, incorrectly remembers the meaning of words and different names. Exact sciences, literature, foreign languages ​​– this requires clear listening and pronunciation. Zhenya puts in a lot of effort to study well, but with his old hearing aids this is not possible.

The cost of the new devices is 108 077 UAH, but the family does not have the opportunity to buy them on their own. But we can help, and Zhenya will be able to live a full life, study, develop and achieve whatever he wants.
