ARK – together against coronavirus

It is becoming apparent that epidemics in European countries have the highest level now. In fact, there is already a decline, because the detected cases show the situation of infection 8-10 days ago. These countries (especially the cool ones in Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, Germany) are rolling out contact testing and tracking systems, giving hope for the first successful epidemic in Europe in a few weeks.

It is already clear today that the only guaranteed victorious strategy against a pandemic is a working system of testing, tracking and isolation of cases, primarily at the outpatient level. It is urgently deployed by countries while they are in quarantine.

Sheptitsky Hospital, responding to the epidemiological situation in Ukraine, is launching a charity program aimed at assisting people who require medical examination and counseling in the context of COVID-19 away:

• patients suspected of COVID-19, (including without a signed declaration from the family doctor,
• with a mild form of the disease, including situations where inpatient care is unavailable or informed refusal of hospitalization;
• recovering patients who no longer need hospitalization.

As part of this project, we are raising funds to pay for trips of a mobile group for testing residents of Lviv with suspected coronavirus. Activities are supported by media support, laboratory tests – rapid influenza tests and COVID-19.

The charity program will operate a hotline for help, and the number will be actively disseminated through social networks and the media.
